New Look Update
Today I got my curtain rods, a blue lava lamp :-) and two floating shelves. The shelves are on each side of my bed and they're totally sweet :-) I must say the room is coming along very nice... I still have work to do, but here are a few pic's... You really have to see it in person (hint - hint) to get the real effect and the true colors.... My house is always open for company :-)

Oh how sweet is my new room? It is soooooooooooooooo sweet.... :-) Tonight I will be attending the Huber-Haus / Crescent Moon Oktoberfest 2008.. There they have German food, German beer and a german band.. Apparently the "Huskers" will be on tv as well. I will go for some good food and then back home to my new sweet room :

New Look
It's time for a New Bedroom Look... :-) I'm rather excited about it. I haven't painted the bedroom since I've been in this house... It's time for a "make-over". Jackie and my friend Chris are coming over today to help me. About two week-ends ago Chris and I sat in my bedroom and talked about what we could do and such. Then we went to Shadow Lake and all of Ideas came together and then some... I kept bringing in the color "white" she kept taking it out.. It was rather funny, but I must agree, the "white" has to go... I call this new look, my "Modern Austin Powers - Shagadelic Room" haha.., you may not relate to the whole "Austin Powers" thing... It's just these "Circles" and my "Shag Carpet" that started it all.. This is going to be fun...
A little later today - I'll add "Before" pics.. and through out the weekend I'll add "Updates" ---Enjoy Peeking Back
Sunday Update
Well all those little Updates I wanted to provide yesterday, just didn't happen... This house just had it going on... It started off at 8:30am with much running around... I took Brandon to football practice, Brett and I got some Scooters coffee, gas in the car, car wash, paint supplies, and a little groceries... and then back to pick up Brandon. We then headed home where we had yummy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch... By this time I believe it was Noon-Thirty... :=) At which time Scott came over and took down my white ceiling fan in my bed-room and moved it into Brett's room... (This time I gave Scott his beer - before I drank it all) Thanks Scott!!
Jackie showed up around 1pm and Chris as well. Then we have "Grand central kid happy station" where all neighborhood kids want to spend their time with us. :=)But hey, can you blame them? :-) Jackie did an awesome job watching the boys and taking care of business :-) I did show Jackie how to make "Smoked Beer-Can Chicken" OH MY! How that tasted so yummy later that night... :-)
Needless to say this "Painting Project" became a bigger project then what I had thought. OH how that ceiling hurt. My neck, back and arms are still soar... But it sure is pretty. After stepping in paint a few times, and figuring out how the auto paint ceiling roller did not work, and falling through the crack between the bed and dresser, but not off the latter, we managed to get all three walls and the ceiling somewhat completed. Well! Except for the dark inner part (Which You'll see later) That's the ceiling part.
With the ceiling fan and light fixture being gone, I now have no light... I have one small lamp which will help me get through this week, but yes I will need some light. :-) Anyways... here are some before pics and us painting and of course the "Smoked Beer Can Chicken"...
This is just a sample of the curtains I bought... I hung them up last week, so this is a picture from then... YOU MUST wait to see the final outcome before you pass any kind of remark about them :-)

This is one completed wall, kinda hard to see the color and all.... But once it's all done --- I will takes those pictures and upload them... Of course - This may not happen for a couple of days haha :-)

One more update before the final update :-) --- The painting is done :-) All I have left to do is put the room back together.. And when after I do that I'll take some final pictures. This will be a new blog post and may take a week before I update it..

New Couch and Love Seat
Well at least it's "New" to me :-) My neighbors went out and bought new furniture and asked me if I wanted their old stuff. I was like "SURE"! I offered to pay them for it, but they took no as an answer... So instead I went out and bought little mini 1-gallon Keg's. One is full of "Root-Beer" and the other of course is just some good ol' Beer. Anyways... I love the set and it looks really nice in my basement. I've been wanting to put furniture in the basement for some-time now and now I've got it! Yippee :-) I spent tonight cleaning and throwing out "Stuff"... Now I can enjoy a different look... Thank-You Mr. and Mrs. Thompson's - You've made my day...
It looks really really nice, doesn't it? Goes with my green walls and they look new... They did a really good job taking care of it :-)
