Last night we got to spend the evening at Coco Keys water resort... Brett's friend Sammy had his birthday party there. It was a lot of fun... but I've seemed to lost my cell phone :-( So this phone is currently being shut down :-( not a happy camper, but what else can I do....
My Cell Phone is my life line to many peeps... So sorry :-(
We are currently packing the car up and on our way to meet Grandma... It will be a good day on the road but at least we'll have good weather...
Just when I thought I might be relaxing has now turned into a little running around with a change of plans.... The kids want to to go back to Grandma and Grandpa Keeneys for the week and there they shall go.... So today is about laundry.... oil change in car.... packing and all that other stuff that comes with it... So instead of having a weekend of relaxation... I will have a full week....
Thank you mom for helping me out... The kids really really say thank-you as they don't want to spend time at Kids Time... Plus they are both really looking forward to spending time with Grandma and Grandpa on the farm and seeing their cousins and such... And as for me it saves me money... and it's no fun dropping them off at kids time when they don't want to go... and now I don't need to take time off for work... I can save my days...... SO THANK-YOU VERY MUCH!!!
Now that Christmas has come and gone... it is time for some relaxation. This weekend is about Not doing a heck of a lot... Just relax.... I think I've done a good job keeping up with the 12 days of Christmas postings, but now it's time for a wee tad break... Sorry I can't post everyday :-)
Tonight we are enjoying a good ol' board game known as risk... I told the boys that if we didn't finish the game tonight, we could continue to play it each night hereafter. hummm how long do you think we'll be playing this board game? :-) So far Brandon is kicking our butt's, Brett is pouting, and Mom is soooooo loosing :-)
I decided to come home for lunch today and to much of my surprise I found Santa Passed out on my front door step and Mr. Penguin trying to escape... My Penguin "WAS" perfectly aligned to the Green Tree.. However since then..... he has mysteriously been moving around my yard....... Sounds like the works of only one neighbor... Or Could it be???? hummm DO I Dare Point the Finger?? :-) Thanks for the laughs... oh and the Beer :-)
This year my favorite Latte is the Eggnog Latte. It's so very yummy... It's soooooooo yummy that I've been making multiple trips to "Scooters" (my favorite coffee house)... So I decided to google the recipe and look what I found... Could it be... Well it's the "Starbucks" version... But that's OK; I'll take it :-)
Tonight I'll have myself a Homemade Eggnog Latte. :=) And once my Eggnog is complete, I'll take it with me on my walk to go see some Christmas lights.
Eggnog Latte: · 1/2 cup eggnog (store bought is what THEY use) · 1/4 cup whole milk · Starbucks® Espresso Roast coffee (ground) · Pinch of ground nutmeg
How to make Starbucks EggNog Latte Combine cold eggnog with cold whole milk. Cold non-fat milk or soymilk can be substituted for the whole milk.
Using the steaming wand on your espresso machine, steam the eggnog/milk mixture until the temperature reaches 145°F. Set aside. Eggnog heats and scalds faster than milk, so watch the thermometer closely.
Tamp ground espresso into the filter. Pull a shot of espresso and pour it into the serving mug.
Fill mug with steamed eggnog and milk. Top the drink with 1/4" foamed eggnog/milk mixture to the rim of the mug.
Garnish with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg.
Hot Toddy Eggnogg Coffee - It's getting even better. A little something to put some hair on your chest and warm you up all nice and tight :-)
Ingredients · 2 cups egg nog · 1 tablespooon rum · 1 tablespooon bourbon · 1 cup hot coffee
Mix together all ingredients, serve and enjoy.....
Tonight it's suppose to snow.... The boys will be excited for the first snow fall of the year... If you watch the video below, towards the end.... is the exact same picture of the Christmas Tree on this blog.... and look... Santa is Drinking a Coke :-)
Well... What can I say... I have the best family... we love to have fun and goof around and eat yummy food... After wards we all take naps or go hunting or just go for a good walk. I spent some of my time at my Sisters and some of it at my Grandmas and then the best of times at my mom's... My mom is the best cook. I know, I know... everyone says that about their moms.... But My MOM KNOWS HOW TO COOK :-) and well some of it has rubbed off on me... :-) Enjoy the pictures... and the video RULES!! We took a road trip around McCook and Sang Songs in my nieces new car.... I'm thinking you may see a new commercial with us in it.... OH YES!!! LOL! Check out the pictures and video here: Thanksgiving 2008
