Dinner and Yappy Yap
I'm without a computer monitor for a while.... But I have my work laptop. So far it's working nicely..... Loads of information at my hands again; whatever would I do without. I did however; find out today that my wee tad little tv screen can be hooked up to my newly Asus.. All I need is a cord and the boys will be back online before they know it.... What on earth did our folks do back when.... They surly didn't sit around playing on the computer.....
Baseball is complete... Brandon won his last game. So they are now 10 for 1. Way to go White Sox's. Brett's team also won their last game as well.
I will be spending my next few nights getting laundry done and packing up the boys bags. They will leave Thursday night and return on the 27th of July. They will be spending time in Colorado with their Grandma Robbins... When they come back Football will start... Pretty much two weeks of scrimmage and such. And then they get drafted to a team.... This will be Brett's first year and Brandon's second year of Football.
I pretty much figured it out....
Brett has been playing with his cars and race tracks.... I wanted to him to put his cars away so he made a little race way down the stairs where the cars end up in their "home" (the box at the end of the stairs) Here's a video he wanted me to share.... Many apologies for the side view... Just tilt your head to your left and you'll do just fine :-)

A little swim action and talk
I've been teaching the boys to do a flip off the low and high dive while at the pool. Both boys can do a flip off the low dive, but neither have the "guts" to do it off the high dive. Of course neither of us are ready for it. I was nervous as well. Overall I had a really good day yesterday.
Humm... I have two videos of them of them on the diving boards; but they won't load :-( I'll have to do some research later tonight or this week...
But I do have my very own picture for my Favorite Post :-)

Today is about "Packing Up Jordan" to head home tomorrow. We will also pick up the basement where all the kids have pretty much "camped out" since Jordan has been here. She's going to be missed, that's for sure.. We will also be spending a little time back out a shadow lake to return a few items and do a little walking around. I also need to return my Monitor as it has a line through it... I just hope I get a new one on the spot.
We have one week left of baseball then a week of total alone time for me. Then Football starts the week of July 27th. Then they go to their dads for a week in Aug so yet another week of alone time. Can you believe it? School is just right around the corner... Where oh Where did my summer go?
Tomorrow is back to work for me... If needed I'm aloud to work from home; but I don't think I will need to... I've been working out of the Branch just about every day of the week; so that is really nice. I have also been a little spoiled by sleeping in until 10am.... Actually we've all been sleeping in until 10am... So I'm sure tomorrow morning will be a challenge....

Talk and Saturdays Agenda
UGGG! Two more days then I go back to work :-( Not ready to go back, don't wanna go back, but I'm sure we have all been there; part of life... So I go back on Monday. Then I'm off on Wednesday for appt's. We'll start out at Childrens Hospital at 9am and will most likely be there until noon or 1pm. Brandon is having x-rays and then Asthma Testing and Allegery Testing... After that we'll go to my appt (If I'm still having issues) I'm such a "Whimp" I don't care though.... Just want it to stop hurting.... blaaaa
Today we are going to the pool and possibly see a movie.. This morning I started to make Ribs with Cherry Cola Barbecue Sauce. UMMM Yummy in my tummy :-) or at least I hope. Hoping they'll be ready by the time we get home...... eeks: Scratch the pool and movie; Sherrie's has the afternoon to herself so is just playing "catch-up" around the house....
8-) ->---<--- Sunday will be a day of total rest in this house. Lay around, watch movies, do laundry and have a waffle cone ice cream :-) A little funny... I love the British accent especially in young kids... This is funny I love it..

Todays Agenda
After that we'll be heading to Shadow Lake to do a little shopping. Jordan wants to spend her hard earned babysitting money at some of the stores. And Brandon has B-day money to spend as well. Brett most likly will through a fit as he has no money, and Mom will surly give in and let him spend 10 dollars ;0) As for me, well I'm getting my toes and fingernails done today :-) and few eye-brows plucked... I will also buy Jordan a little going away present. I figured since I had her listen to the Kenny Chesney CD over and over and over again and since she has just about every song memorized, I would get her that and then a picture frame for her photo on the Mamba :-)
Small Update
Brandon's new shirt... He picked it out all by himself... Oh the girls are gonna be swarming over him... ;-) His appt. went rather well. No More Turning the Spacer Yippie. They wired that shut and put on a new rubber band. Now he has braces all on the upper teeth... They applied the band so the gap will close and the bones will grow together... A remarkable improvement :-)
Mama needs her rest and sleep....
The bed is calling my name
so off to a napper I must go.
For all you readers out there;
Lots of postings going on here so
keep up and be click happy
Here are some misc pictures of our KC trip and today's outing along with a few others..

Picture Updates, Chitter Chatter and Happy Fourth of July
I've been very blessed to have Jordan stay with me and help me out through the summer. She has been so much help to me. Watching the boys, cleaning house, helping with getting the boys ready for sports and such... And even spending time with Me. We take walks together, watch "girl" movies.... The other night we watched "He's just not that into you" A cute and funny movie....
We've also been doing lots of chitter chatter... And I got a pedicure while she got her nails done. She'll be heading back home on the 13th of July.... I'm going to have a hard time saying good-bye; but I know I'll see her again.
Soon after that the boys we'll be going to Colorado with their dad.... Talk about having a full active house then going to a very quite house..... WOW!!! That's for sure what is going to happen... A little "quite time" is okay every now and then.
On Sunday we are heading to KC to see a Royals game... With the Schlitterbahn water parked NOT opened yet; we'll find something to do... I'm all ready dreaming about the Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark on South Padre Island in Texas... Check this one out: Schlitterbahn South Padre
Last Sunday we got to spend some time out at Beaver Lake. My neighbors recently purchased a lot out there; so every now and then we get to go for a visit. Here are a few pictures from the lake beach front. Wouldn't that be nice... To have a house on the lake...

A's - White Sox's - and Sunshine
The weather here has been rather strange... We went from cold to wondering if we're going to have a summer to freak in' hot. We did have a small rain shower this evening, which really helped cool that 100+ degree temperature and lower the humidity. Not really complaining; just enjoy it while it last I say.
Randy and Melinda's daughter Jordan is here helping me with the boys... Which has been more then a delight the last couple of days... She's pretty awesome and I love her company... and so do the boys. Tonight we took a little time and went shopping around shadow lake and then we had some BW3's for dinner... Bw3's stands for Buffalo Wild Wings... Some good stuff. We brought the wings home and I made a loaded baked potato and topped it off with a New Castle Brown Ale Beer.... Hopefully I'll sleep good tonight..
On Sunday we went and saw the movie "The Proposal" which was funny and yet another good Sandra Bullock Movie... Believe it or not but that Movie made me cry and laugh. So I guess if it can do all that then it must be good. Take a sneak peak...
An upcoming Event is Brandon's 11th Birthday this Saturday :-)

A little Baseball update
While the A's were so close in the 5th inning.... with a score of 5 to 4 they took a loss in the 6th inning. The kids had fun and Brett felt ever so important and that's what it's about...
The White Sox took yet another win... I think the score was 12 to nothing, but I lost count after a while.... Both boys are doing wonderful... Sorry no pictures.. I'll try again next time...

Jackie...
She will be graduating with the Associates in Arts.... From there she'll continue on to get her Bachelor's in Special Ed.
Where will she continue on?? Well this has changed from time to time :-) but that's ok.. It will either be Lincoln University or somewhere out of Ne. I'm guessing it will be Lincoln... But we shall see...
Jackie will walk to get her diploma next Saturday morning... and in the meantime I'll be resting to to rid my nasty cold so I can enjoy every moment :-)

White Sox's takes another win

White Sox's and the A's
Brandon played left field and what a good job he did. At first he had me a little nervous as his head was not in the game.... Standing there out in the outfield he was wondering around like a little lost boy; that is until the coach got on him (Good Coach)... And then he figured it out and was all over it... Pretty soon a ball went right out to left field.... He ran for it... he flew through the air and reached out with his left arm as far as he could... soon the ball was no where in sight and Brandon was on the ground.... Instantly he stood up and reached for the stars with the ball in his glove.... Mom was ever so proud... and that made the third out... :-)
Each game is 1-1/2 hours long or 6 innings, which ever comes first. We made it to the fourth inning and took the win. Not bad...
Soon after that we headed over to Brett's game where the rain began to fall. It down poured for a little while and then soon the sun came out and the game was on... So I pulled out my chair and the first batter was up... A big ol' bolt of lighting came from the sky and game was called off. Brett was a little P-O'ed that he got all dressed up for nothing... I assured him it was not for nothing... Needless to say we came home and he put on his jammie's and off to bed he went... He's pretty excited to play ball this year and soon enough he'll get his chance :-)
We have practice tomorrow night and then the White Sox's play on Wednesday with a stand-by for the A's....

We're home, we're tired and our beds will feel good tonight. Not to mentioned a nice shower...
This week baseball begins. Games are on Mondays and Wednesdays and practice is scheduled on a weekly basis. Brandon has a game at 5:30pm and Brett has a game at 8pm tomorrow night. Let "Play Ball" begin... We'll also be catching up on our rest with lots of early bed times and a nap today.

"your Father knows what you need before you ask Him"
"your Father knows what you need before you ask Him" - {matthew 6:8}
"hesitate not to call upon His presence, for He is already there. to second guess a request for His attention is a foolish assumption that He has left you to handle things on your own. He stands beside you...watching over your every step & listening to every whisper of your heart even the deepest of dreams you dare not mention out loud. remember you are special, designed for His purpose in every way. if today is great, enjoy & claim it to memory for the tomorrow that fails your expectation. if today is a struggle, believe in what is to come for sweeter will be the reward of a blessing's sunrise after you've walked through the night of a storm. do not underestimate yourself with faith by your side. you can do all things through His will. if it doesn't seem to be improving or changing or going away... remember that our schedule has nothing to do do with God's plan. so take a moment to mentally place aside your planner & open your heart to what God is trying to show you. have a wonderful day. do it because you can. do it in spite of what stands in the way. don't let your heartache steal today's joy. don't let this world's setbacks throw you down & if one should sneak up & run you over a little... get back up, dust yourself off & know you are going to be ok, you can get through this, & you will overcome the smallest of thorns & highest of mountains. you don't need to do it all today. one step at a time, one day at a time, one prayer after another. take care... & remember God loves you more than you know!"

Back from camping
Yesterday I took the boys to the lake beach where that got to swim and play in the sand... They also got to venture out pretty far in the water, which they thought was pretty cool... Sorry no pictures of that... I had some really nice long walks and even got to sit by the lake on some rocks. I think I sat for about an hour just looking at the water and watching the sun set... It was relaxing and made me not wanna come back home... The boys will be staying with my mom and Sister this week. I will either pick them up on Friday and do some more camping or pick them up on Saturday and have lunch with my mom and dale. Here are some pictures..... Memorial weekend pictures

Busy little bee I've been
Just when I thought I didn't have enough to do.... My neighbor asked for the tiller and of course I said.. On one condition... You till my garden too. And so he did :-) My garden is now in. I just literally got down planting tomatoes, jalapenos, garden salsa peppers, onions, pumpkin, muskmelon, lettuce, beans, sweet-corn, basil and parsley. Geeze, can I add anything else??? Well my strawberries are looking wonderful and the my grape vine has some leaves :-) Maybe this year I'll get a grape or two... and my Chives are gorgeous.. Oh my... Can you say "scratch" and "itch" dang I think I've been eaten alive... Darn bugs...
The boys base-ball is going well. This year Brandon will have the opportunity to pitch... Or at least I hope he does. He's going to give it his best. He's got a good throwing arm so we shall see. This year they play to "WIN" so it should be a lot of fun to watch. His team is called the White Soxs and Brett's team is called the "A's" I'm thinking a trip to Chicago to see the White Socks would be nice. Plus they want to go to six flags. Just dunno if I can venture off with two boys that far all by myself... So I have some serious thinking to do...
This week I'll be packing their stuff up, getting the tent ready, and off to Lexington we will go a camping with my sister... So I must get my rest... Needless to say... I'm WIPED, TIRED and my muscles ache... Oh but wait... I just took of my tenny shoes off and my right foot and ankle look like a snack fest... Oh those darn bugs... Looks like hives. I'm just covered in it... I'll just cover myself in pink calamine lotion :-)... Worst case scenario... I have a follow up appt. in the morning so if it's not better by then she'll make it better... Slap, Itch, ouch... :(

Quotes I've Kept
Sometimes I can be so "personal" and "analytical"... I can read something or watch a video or listen to songs and take it one way... or another way... Because that is one thing I'm good at, being personal and analytical.... Probably why I do good at my job :-) but over time I do get better at it... And I like these quotes they make me think in a good way :-) Some of these are even mine :-)
Just thought I'd share them with you all:
Life events can have a way of delivering many different challenges; take your time and respond to them the best way you know how
Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have
A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand & touches your heart
Cherish life you never know what tomorrow may bring
To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world
There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting & just be more careful about who you trust next time around
Make yourself a better person & know who you are before you try & know someone else & expect them to know you
No one’s perfect, not even me
Cherish life you never know what tomorrow may bring
What may seem one way, may not be that way
The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature
I accept chaos. I am not sure whether it accepts me. I know some people are terrified of the bomb. But then some people are terrified to be seen carrying a modern screen magazine. Experience teaches us that silence terrifies people the most.
Death is not the biggest fear we have; our biggest fear is taking the risk to be alive -- the risk to be alive and express what we really are
Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do
Don't be afraid to go out on a limb. That's where the fruit is
Keep your fears to yourself, but share your inspiration with others
I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today

Summer is almost here
Baseball has started. Well at least Brandon's team is getting started. We're still waiting on Brett's coach to give us a call. Brandon's first practice is this Friday night and then Saturday morning. He's team is called the White Socks. I'm thinking games and practices will be Monday - Saturday. So some very busy times are coming up.
Over this past month I've been very busy rolling stuff out to production. Late last night I released the final reports :-) Now that; that's done... I'm taking the day off today to relax and play a little catch up around the house.

Mother's Day Weekend
Saturday me and the boys and Jackie did some running around. We visited a pet store where we played with many dogs and puppies out in an open landing. That was fun. Jackie and Brandon had a fare share of puppy biting on their pant legs. It was quite funny... After that we came home and relaxed and then we went and saw the movie Fast & Furious. An action packed, thrilling, toe curling, muscle tightening, keep you on the edge of your seat type of movie :-) Watch the trailer below
On Friday night Jackie and I went to go see the Kenny Chesney Sun City Carnival Concert. The opening acts were Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert and Montgomery Gentry. For some odd reason I thought Sugarland was going to be there... Not sure why I thought that, but they weren't. I guess they are coming at the end of this month... Maybe another concert in the horizon.
We had a fun time. Overall it was a great concert:

Brett left me a message last night
Turn up the volume... Make sure you listen all the way through... He does say bye a time or two, but he's not done talking. He also informed me that he lost his psp.. LOL
It's a keeper...

Rascal Flatts
I've been extremely busy at work... This week and next week are my final payout's and rolling stuff out to Production... In two weeks I'm suppose to know the direction of bringing in a new system which will take the place of BSC and MIP. Keeping my fingers crossed on many different levels....
On another note, Brett likes this Rascal Flatts video. He's sitting in my lap watching me type... We just got done watching the video.. He likes the fast cars and guitars.. tapping his fingers on my desk and bouncing his leg. I think he's got some rhythm ;-)

Yard Work and PBR
Well I decided not to do the mowing, weed-eating and fertilizing this year. Instead I'll have a lawn company do it for me. I called them up early this week and "low and be-hold" the yard was fertilized that day and the mowing will begin on Friday (tomorrow). This will be a big stress relief for me. I kept going round and round with this... I really didn't want to fork over those $ to a lawn boy. But this summer is going to busy and I wont have the time to do it. I actually enjoy doing a little bit of yard work, but the heavy stuff I don't like. But that's a mans job and so it will be just that. I'll probably have the best looking yard around ;=) and now my toes won't be green ;-)
PBR
As in the "Professional Bull Riding" is back once again. Friday (tomorrow) night I will be taking the boys to the PBR. We'll meet up with Chris and her husband Kevin and their little boy Keegan.
Update: Pictures can be found here

4lbs of Strawberries....
By the time I got home and the groceries put away.... I realized that I forgot to buy a blow-dryer.... So back out in the rain I went.... I splashed in a few mud-puddles and walked ever so slow in the rain... It's just rain, right? Others scampered and hurried as if the rain was going to ruin their hair or clothes or something. But not me.... I took my time and walked and enjoy the rain.... The rain was just a simple but yet good down pour rain... No wind just rain.... and it smelled good...
So I did get my blow-dryer and I got a new roller bag made especially for a lap-top, which will be used for these up-coming trips to California for work.... Another story... Soon after I found my way back home hoping the sun might come out in the afternoon while I made my pies.... I made two strawberry pies and sun came out a Shinning... The boys and I played basketball and hung outside for almost the entire afternoon... Now I have a nice red face.... Oops!! Looks like I need to make another run to the store and buy some sun-screen.
Later that afternoon; we were invited over to the neighbors house for dinner... I truly think they wanted a piece of my pie as they new what I was making via Facebook.... So me and the boys went over and of course I took my Strawberry Pie... And WOW! Was that pie every so yummy. Had to be the best pie yet... Even though I partially brunt the crust it was still my "Me oh My I've got the best ever Strawberry Pie" :=)
We stayed at the neighbors until about 9pm and then came home and watched "Yes Man"... While at the neighbors the boys were playing around my house (outside) and swore they saw a boogie-man in my house... Of course they had to come and tell me about the boogie-main... And with that they asked if they could go inside and check things out.... Well right then and there I knew it was no boogie-man and that they were "Joshing" me.... If there was a stranger in my house, they would be running... scared out of there pants.... So I gave this "boogie-man" a name.... I named him Fred. I told them that it was just "Fred" and that they should just leave "Fred" alone... Of course it didn't register first with Brett and the all of sudden it did... And with his face half turned and with one eye open he says "Whose Fred???".... LOL well then every one got into the conversation and stories were flying.... This came to haunt me later in the night.... as Brett woke up at 3am scared of "Fred the boogie-man".... Needless to say Brett slept with me for the rest of night...
But I still one more pie left.... And today we'll enjoy a little bit of that pie and clean house and do laundry and watch movies.... until another day of posting may my readers have a good day....
Me oh My Strawberry pie.... Now I can make food tast good, but I just don't have a knack to make it look good...

A little poem I found
Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask "How are you?"
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say "Hi"?
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over
I think I need to read this daily....
Happy Easter

Omaha Lancer Hockey Game

Tonight we're going to our 1st ever Hockey Game at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, IA... Sioux Falls Stampede vs Omaha Lancers game begins at 7pm
Update: Well This didn't turn out as planned... I was really looking forward to taking the boys to the Hockey game, but unfortunately it didn't happen...
Walking out the at 5:40pm with Brett being the last one out... Sherrie realized "Opps - where are my keys" I looked at Brett and said "I know you didn't - please tell me you didn't" He looked puzzled of course lol... And well ya he did... He locked the door and we were "Locked Out"... So I called my friend Chris and she called a locksmith for me... The locksmith called me and said they'd be there in 30 minutes... 1 hour goes by and we decided to walk over to the neighbors. I get a phone call from the locksmith company wanting to know if I was in my house yet. I'm like "NO! - I'm still waiting for the Tech - and I'm COLD" so the guy says "One Moment Mammmm" So I wait for about a minute and he gets back on the phone "The tech will be there in 30 min's" So I say "YEAH - THAT'S WHAT YOU SAID LAST TIME" He of course apologized and I of course waited for another HOUR!
In the meantime neighbor Dave and I tried to break in ourselves, but no such luck... We had black stocking caps on and flash-lights... It was quite comical.. Dave said "You got ID to prove you live here right" - I'm laughing and I said "Yes, But I don't know who you are" LOL we did are best to make it funny... No windows could be barged open, no way to get passed the dead - lock and that Attic didn't lead over to my bedroom so there was no such luck....
YET another hour goes by and the lock-smith once again calls (In the mean-time I had called a different company and they were on their way)... So he once again ask... " Are you in your house yet... I'm like "HELL NO! - I think you'd know if I was in my house as your flopping Tech would of been here and let me in over two hours ago and reported to you that I was in my house SAFE and SOUND" -- He of course apologized... I told him not come I found someone else... Within 1/2 hour the other person was at my house. As nice as can be and let me in within 5 min's... Within 30 min's of my 1st phone call... LOL Oh well.. Today's a new day.... :-)and there's always other games....

Last week adventures and chit chat
On Friday I got a good look at Daytona Bike Week. A different but fun experience. I really don't have a lot of words to describe this. Just a lot of different motor-cycles all "decked" out per say... And just a lot of events going on and such...

On Saturday Chris took me to a baseball game, which was a lot of fun... Detroit Tigers vs the New York Mets. Pretty Cool to see this game.

After the game we went to Tampa Fl, to Clearwater Beach. A very beautiful place indeed...

On Sunday my flight was delayed by 5 hours due to the Snow Storm in Atlantic,so lucky me got to spend an extra day in Sunny Florida... Where I had total relaxation. I took a walk around a lake and then a walk around Chris's neighborhood and by then it was time to go back home...
Upon my arrival at home, the boys were waiting for me... Both boys were extremely excited to see me... One more then the other... Brandon was stuck on me like "Glue" :-)
Wrestling is now done and nothing but rest is in the air... Down-time! :-)
Brandon did get his spacers in today... These are just temporary spacers and will stay in until Tuesday. It went very well :-) I'm sure once the "Real" spacers come about, we'll have some "trying" days...
