Right now I'm not getting along with good o'l Mother Nature.... More ways then one... Yesterday she brought me an ice storm... and this morning she brought me Craving Chocolate... Where's Maggie when I need her?
The boys have been with my mom for a week now... and yesterday I tried to go back and get them but due to the weather I had to turn around :-( what started out with rain and going 75 mph turned into a dead stop on the interstate and then up to 5 - 10 mph.... errrrr .... Upon existing the interstate to turn around I managed to get myself stuck. But I wasn't the only one.... so I wasn't a complete "L" sitting there waving to other's going on by.... I saw 2 really really bad accidents, 4 ambulances, and one too many cars/trucks in the ditch... I also saw one vehicle loose control and end up in the ditch... At times the interstate was at a dead stop, other times it got up to 20 mph... and back down to 5 mph... errrrrrrr.... I made it to Bellevue where in my subdivision I managed to slide through a stop sign and miss my turn.... Oops! By the time I got home I couldn't blink and my hair was frazzled so I went to bed.... woke up about 3 hours later ate some dinner, watched a little tv and back to bed I went....
This is on my way back... This is where I turned around... The first time through there were 3 fire trucks and an ambulance. coming from the other direction you could see a truck pined underneath the semi.. After I got un-stucked and turned around the trucks an ambulance were gone... all you could do was pray everyone was all right and that you too would be ok...
Life without the boys has been wonderful, well kinda :-) Every Mother needs a break now and then (Right Mom?) but they always need their kids back :-) This week I got myself a wee tad organized :-) I went shopping!! Shopping was good to me!! Sherrie is ever so smashing in many ways :-) I cleaned my house, through out cluttered and brought new clutter in :-) haha ... Isn't that the way it works? Out with the old in with the new? I got to relax and watch a movie or two or three... Mama Mia (total girl flick) and Lethal Weapon (Funny)... My laundry is done and my toes are painted... THANK -YOU MOM!! You're the best...
Today I'll spend it on the road... Going back out to make another attempt to get the boys.... Then we'll be back on our regular scheduled program... (Sounds like TV huh?) Back to work (ICK) - Back to School - and Back to Wrestling.... and Back to playing the WII Yippy :-)
